The Grand Wagoneer has standard Active Headrests, which use a specially designed headrest to protect the driver and front passenger from whiplash. During a rear-end collision, the Active Headrests system moves the headrests forward to prevent neck and spine injuries. The QX80 doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.

There are over 12 times as many Jeep dealers as there are Infiniti dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Grand Wagoneer’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2025 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Jeep vehicles are better in initial quality than Infiniti vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Jeep above average in initial quality. With 56 more problems per 100 vehicles, Infiniti is rated below average.

The Grand Wagoneer’s optional 3.6 DOHC V6 hybrid produces 197 more horsepower (647 vs. 450) and 104 lbs.-ft. more torque (620 vs. 516) than the QX80’s 3.5 turbo V6.

When they reach their destination, the Grand Wagoneer can be unhitched and driven around locally. The QX80 can’t be towed flat on the ground.
