Compare the2024 Jeep Wagoneer SVS 2024 Polestar 2

In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the Wagoneer S are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

To allow off-road and deep snow capability, Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the Wagoneer S. But it costs extra on the Polestar 2.

Both the Wagoneer S and the Polestar 2 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Jeep Wagoneer S weighs 1011 to 1221 pounds more than the Polestar 2. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

Jeep’s powertrain warranty covers the Wagoneer S 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Polestar covers the 2. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the Polestar 2 ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

There are over 77 times as many Jeep dealers as there are Polestar dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Wagoneer S’ warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Jeep vehicles are better in initial quality than Polestar vehicles. With 116 fewer problems per 100 vehicles, JD Power ranks Jeep higher than Polestar.

The Wagoneer S’ electric motors produces 305 more horsepower (600 vs. 295) and 256 lbs.-ft. more torque (617 vs. 361) than the Polestar 2 Single Motor’s standard electric motor. The Wagoneer S’ electric motors produces 179 more horsepower (600 vs. 421) and 71 lbs.-ft. more torque (617 vs. 546) than the Polestar 2 Dual Motor’s standard electric motors. The Wagoneer S’ electric motors produces 145 more horsepower (600 vs. 455) and 71 lbs.-ft. more torque (617 vs. 546) than the Polestar 2 Dual Motor Performance Pack’s optional electric motors.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Wagoneer S has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Polestar 2.

The Wagoneer S has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Wagoneer S’ wheelbase is 5.3 inches longer than on the Polestar 2 (113 inches vs. 107.7 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Wagoneer S is 1.3 inches wider in the front and 1.5 inches wider in the rear than on the Polestar 2.

The Wagoneer S has 3.5 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Polestar 2 (99.5 vs. 96).

The Wagoneer S has 1.7 inches more front hip room, 2.8 inches more front shoulder room, .4 inches more rear headroom, 4.1 inches more rear legroom, 1.1 inches more rear hip room and 5 inches more rear shoulder room than the Polestar 2.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Wagoneer S’ rear seats recline. The Polestar 2’s rear seats don’t recline.

The Wagoneer S’ standard towing capacity is much higher than the Polestar 2’s (3400 vs. 2000 pounds).

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Polestar 2, the Wagoneer S has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, outside mirror angle and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Wagoneer S’ standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

The Wagoneer S has a standard heads-up display that projects speed, navigation instruction and driver assistance information readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Wagoneer S to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. Heated windshield washer nozzles cost extra on the Polestar 2.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Wagoneer S has a standard rear wiper. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Wagoneer S has standard extendable sun visors. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer extendable visors.

Standard air conditioned seats in the front and rear seats keep the Wagoneer S’ passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The Wagoneer S has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Polestar 2.

The Wagoneer S has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Polestar 2.

The Wagoneer S has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.

The Wagoneer S’ Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Polestar 2 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
